This Privacy Policy explains what information the Seneca Rewards mobile app ("the App"), operated by Seneca Tradelink ("we", "us", "our"), collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

UPI ID	To process reward redemption payments to you
Customer ID & reward history	To track your coupons, points, and wallet balance
Camera access	To scan reward coupon QR codes
Photo library access	Only if you choose to scan a QR code from a saved image

We do not collect precise location, contacts, or browsing history from your device.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your Seneca Rewards account
To verify coupons and credit reward points to your wallet
To process redemption of your reward points to your UPI ID
To provide customer support when you contact us
To send you service-related communications (e.g. OTP messages)

3. Third-party services we use

We share the minimum data necessary with these service providers to operate the App:

MSG91 — sends the OTP text message used to verify your mobile number
Frappe Cloud — securely hosts our backend database (customer records, coupons, wallet data)

These providers only process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

4. Data storage & security

Your data is stored on our backend hosted on Frappe Cloud. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and reward data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with our legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact Us below).

6. Your choices

You can update your name and UPI ID at any time from the Profile screen in the App
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us
You can revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time from your phone's settings — QR scanning simply won't work until re-enabled

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
